Requirements
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  • At least 15 years of hands-on experience in front-end or user-interface-heavy application development for embedded or regulated systems, with strong embedded Linux exposure.
  • Deep expertise in modern C++, including C++11, C++14, C++17, and C++20, templates, the Standard Template Library, and design patterns.
  • Deep expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, user-interface architecture, design systems, and performance-critical rendering for embedded or device-hosted applications.
  • Strong command of object-oriented programming, memory management, multithreading, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with debugging, profiling, and developer-level testing, including unit, component, and behavior-driven development testing with GoogleTest or Catch2.
  • Proven hands-on experience using artificial intelligence agent technology as a development companion.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing medical or safety-critical applications.
  • Experience with technical documentation, code reviews, and compliance with medical software development processes such as IEC 62304.
  • Experience developing on embedded Linux, including Yocto or OpenEmbedded.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity and data privacy requirements for medical devices.
  • Familiarity with Linux-based operating-system stacks tailored for medical devices, including secure boot, sandboxing, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Proficiency in GitHub, continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, and Agile or Scaled Agile Framework methodologies.
  • Understanding of patient monitoring systems, medical device safety, and healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate with clinicians, product managers, and global teams to ensure solutions meet clinical and business needs.
  • Ability to influence technical strategy and foster an innovation culture.
Responsibilities
  • Lead development of intuitive clinical user-interface applications used by clinicians in high-acuity environments.
  • Collaborate with user-experience teams and clinicians to ensure applications meet usability and safety requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership across modern user-interface technologies and supporting C++ layers for embedded devices.
  • Lead and mentor platform development teams on software architecture, design patterns, and embedded-systems best practices through daily hands-on collaboration.
  • Lead and mentor application development teams on application services for physiological data visualization and clinical decision-support features.
  • Establish and enforce quality standards, development methodologies, and coding practices that drive continuous improvement in software reliability and performance.
  • Conduct rigorous code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback to ensure adherence to medical-device software standards and FDA regulations.
  • Optimize application performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks in resource-constrained embedded Linux environments.
  • Drive adoption of artificial-intelligence-enabled development tools and demonstrate measurable productivity improvements across the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Quality Assurance, Regulatory, and other engineering leads, to define and deliver features.
  • Support software lifecycle management activities, including sustaining engineering, defect resolution, and platform evolution.
  • Build a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous learning within the Bangalore development organization.
  • Represent the technical voice of the team in architectural decisions and strategic technical discussions.

  • Hands-on experience with medical communication protocols such as Health Level Seven, Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources, IEEE 11073 Service-oriented Device Connectivity, and Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine.
  • Experience in healthcare or monitoring-systems domains.
