CuBE Packaging to invest more than $30 million to expand U.S. Manufacturing in St. Charles, Illinois.

CuBE Packaging to invest more than $30 million to expand U.S. Manufacturing in St. Charles, Illinois. Oct 13, 2026, 08:00 ET Multi-phase expansion adds new high-speed injection molding lines and integrated automation to serve growing retail and foodservice demand ST. CHARLES, Ill., Oct. 13, 2026 /CNW/ - CuBE Packaging Solutions Inc. ("CuBE" or the "Company"), a leading North American manufacturer of premium, reusable food containers, and a Kent Road Capital portfolio company, today announced that it is investing more than $30 million to expand its U.S. manufacturing facility in St. Charles, Illinois. The investment includes the renovation of the facility together with a multi-phase installation of new high-speed injection molding machines and integrated end-of-line automation. The investment strengthens CuBE's North American supply chain and expands its domestic production capacity for U.S. customers. The St. Charles facility, which entered production in late 2025, anchors the Company's U.S. manufacturing footprint and complements its flagship operation in Aurora, Ontario, one of the largest single-site food storage injection molding facilities in North America. The expansion will significantly increase CuBE's U.S. production capacity and will create new manufacturing jobs in St. Charles and the surrounding Fox Valley region. Founded in 2009, CuBE manufactures reusable, recyclable polypropylene food containers that are microwave, dishwasher, and freezer safe, serving blue-chip retail, grocery, restaurant, and foodservice customers across the United States and Canada. Demand for the Company's products has accelerated as retailers and restaurant operators shift toward higher-quality, sustainable packaging for takeout, delivery, and private label programs. "This investment reflects the strength of our customer relationships and the momentum we are seeing across the U.S. market," said Philippe Erhart, Chief Executive Officer of CuBE. "St. Charles gives us a scalable American manufacturing platform, brings us closer to our customers, and provides the capacity, automation, and infrastructure to support their growth for years to come. We are proud to be expanding our footprint in Illinois and to be creating new jobs in the community as we grow." "CuBE has consistently demonstrated why it is a leader in its category, and this expansion is a natural next step," said Ian Kessler, Partner at Kent Road Capital. "CuBE's management team has delivered best-in-class growth while maintaining the highest standards of product quality and customer service. The St. Charles expansion positions CuBE to serve its U.S. customers with greater speed, scale, and resilience, and we are excited to support the team through this next phase of growth." "We congratulate CuBE Packaging Solutions on this significant expansion and are pleased the company has chosen to continue investing and growing in St. Charles," said Mayor Clint Hull. "A strong economic base includes a healthy mix of businesses and industries, and manufacturing is an important part of that mix. CuBE's multi-million-dollar investment demonstrates confidence in St. Charles as a place where businesses can grow and succeed, and we look forward to the company's continued success." The initial phase of the expansion is complete and in production, with additional phases underway and planned through 2027.
