About the job
- At least two years of work experience in Accounting or Accounts Payable.
- A minimum BSc degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance.
- A strong understanding of Accounting and Accounts Payable processes; knowledge of procure-to-pay processes and payments is desirable.
- Experience participating in at least one transition of work from one part of the organization to another.
- Ability to work on and own initiatives.
- Ability to assess situations for importance, urgency, and risks, and make timely decisions.
- Ability to work independently and escalate issues appropriately.
- Strong attention to detail and a diligent working style.
- Strong organizational skills and openness and receptiveness to change.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in written and oral English.
- High standards of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.
- Ability to satisfactorily complete position training and compliance requirements.
- A valid passport and flexibility to travel.
- Execute operational sub-processes according to Team Lead directives, including managing vendor master data and inbound documents; recording purchase order and non-purchase order invoices, triggering approvals, and scheduling payments; managing recurring entries such as rent and leases; blocking and unblocking invoices on request; ensuring invoices are processed and fully approved for timely payment, prioritizing critical suppliers; retrieving invoices from governmental and third-party platforms; validating Sarbanes-Oxley controls; addressing vendor inquiries and handling disputes and exceptions; and performing procure-to-pay reconciliations and period-end close activities.
- Proactively resolve day-to-day issues and escalate service incidents to the Team Lead.
- Assist with implementing activities to streamline and standardize operations, including operational metrics.
- Build knowledge of particular activities.
- Perform other duties as required.
