  • A minimum of one year of customer service experience is required.
  • One year of related experience is required in crisis management, physical security, critical infrastructure protection, risk controls, or loss prevention.
  • Experience in alarm monitoring is required.
  • Candidates must have a working knowledge of mass notification tools.
  • Candidates must be able to rapidly analyze large amounts of information while maintaining composure during high-stress circumstances.
  • Candidates must be prepared to work a designated shift in a 24/7 operations center and cover extra hours as needed.
  • Candidates must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
  • Candidates must be able to write simple correspondence and present information effectively in one-on-one and small-group settings, and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, employees, and the public.
  • Candidates must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Candidates must be able to apply common-sense understanding to written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Candidates must be able to type at least 45 words per minute.
  • Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Office products, including Outlook.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Candidates must be able to talk or hear regularly; stand, walk, sit, and use their hands frequently; and occasionally reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift or move up to 25 pounds. Required vision abilities include close and distance vision, depth perception, adjusting focus, and distinguishing basic colors.
  • Candidates must be able to monitor CCTV, physical access control, and the organization's security software platforms, and troubleshoot them.
  • Candidates must maintain confidentiality and follow company information security practices.
  • Candidates must be able to work independently and manage competing tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor cameras, video alarms, door alarms, duress alarms, and other tools to identify organizational threats and risks.
  • Answer routine and emergency calls; dispatch calls via telephone and radio; and provide general assistance to employees, vendors, and guests.
  • Coordinate responses to life-safety incidents and dispatch security officers, CRT, facilities, police, fire, and EMS personnel through telephone, radio, or company-provided software systems.
  • Maintain records of communications and events, daily logs, and required reports.
  • Handle sensitive situations while maintaining confidentiality and information security practices relating to personnel issues, investigations, public relations incidents, and emergency personnel contact information.
  • Conduct investigative video reviews, report findings, assist with investigations, and promptly update requestors.
  • Document reported incidents and notify appropriate parties for information, escalation, or other required actions.
  • Ensure CTC systems function properly and report deficiencies.
  • Coordinate on-site security personnel using surveillance tools equipped with intrusion detection to identify individuals in restricted areas.
  • Monitor extreme or adverse weather conditions that could damage or disrupt assets or threaten life and property.
  • During nearby police or fire emergencies, promptly collect real-time information and alert affected offices or employees.
  • Maintain situational awareness during planned and unplanned civil demonstrations near assets using news sources and subscribed intelligence tools to identify signs of unruly behavior or clashes with external security forces.
  • Manage and prioritize employee security concerns received through email, phone, and internal messaging platforms to support efficient resolution.
  • Conduct routine alarm testing and remote audits.
  • The position requires sitting and screen exposure for extended periods.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience in a physical Security Operations Center, a Global Security Operations Center, security or law enforcement positions, or dispatch centers is preferred.
  • An associate's and/or bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study, such as Security Management, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, or Homeland Security, is preferred.
  • Prior camera or alarm integrator experience is a plus.
  • A Tennessee Alarm Monitoring License, or the ability to obtain one, is preferred.
  • Fluency in languages other than English is a plus.
