Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Six months of custodial experience is preferred.
  • Ability to regularly lift and move objects weighing 10 to 50 pounds and, with team support, occasionally lift and move objects weighing more than 30 pounds.
  • Ability to perform significant carrying, pushing, pulling, and bending.
  • Ability to work overtime as assigned.
  • Ability to work in alignment with the company’s principles, including creating a safe environment, treating others with respect, working as part of a team, communicating effectively, and maintaining accountability.
Responsibilities
  • Remove refuse from offices, restrooms, break rooms, and the building daily, ensuring trash cans are empty and clean.
  • Collect recycling and waste around the warehouse and dispose of it in waste containers using garbage and corrugated compactors.
  • Thoroughly clean and stock restrooms with necessary supplies.
  • Sweep, mop, and wet-wash floors regularly.
  • Vacuum, spot-clean, or shampoo carpets as assigned.
  • Wash sinks and other plumbing fixtures and replace disposables such as paper towels and soap.
  • Clean windows and door frames.
  • Clean office items and Venetian blinds or drapes as needed.
  • Use floor machines, automatic scrubbers, wall-washing equipment, and waste-collecting equipment when necessary.
  • Follow cleaning and disinfecting procedures to ensure the health and safety of facility personnel.
  • Assist other personnel with janitorial tasks, loading or unloading containers, and relocating goods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Bergen Logistics Executive Marjorie Ramos Joins Spectrum Works Board Of Directors

Spectrum Works recently said it appointed Marjorie Ramos, chief people officer at Bergen Logistics, to its board of directors. The Bergen Logistics expansion in the UK is set to create up to 60 jobs and Kevin Rogers, managing director for Elanders in the UK, said it will complement the Elanders offering in North Tyneside, which has a combined headcount of around 200 staff.
