Requirements
  • High school Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma and one or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and higher education.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the Brookshire Grocery Company Business Driver Policy.
  • Food Handler certification.
  • Manager Food Safety certification.
  • Intermediate knowledge of produce department operations, in-store ordering machines, and inventory management processes.
  • Intermediate knowledge of scheduling software systems.
  • Ability to operate a manual or electric pallet jack and safely maintain department equipment.
  • Ability to use an alphanumeric keyboard and precision and non-precision hand tools.
  • Ability to safely work with sharp objects such as knives and box cutters.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to continuously stand, walk, and lift objects up to 40 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain stock levels and quality of produce and floral products to comply with Company standards.
  • Work in conjunction with upper management to train and develop partners, schedule, plan, assign, and direct work.
  • Support upper management with the review of historical data regarding sales, ads, and promotions.
  • Co-manage inventory using item management processes to ensure satisfactory in-stock levels.
  • Review profit and loss, sales, shrink, and labor data with the department manager.
  • Maintain and improve sales performance, financial results, public relations, product quality, and work standards.
  • Inspect product for quality control and food safety standards and adhere to all governmental product origin labeling.
  • Promote product sales through suggestive selling initiatives and appealing product displays.
  • Cut and trim product using sharp knives and prepare product to ensure high quality presentation.
  • Check inventory on trucks, unload products, and ensure accuracy of inventory, product ordering, and associated paperwork.
  • Provide customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and responding to complaints.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures.
  • Identify and remedy potential hazards or place appropriate warning signs near hazards as soon as possible.

Developed in partnership with Plant-A Insights Group, the national recognition is based on one of the largest independent studies of the female workforce in the U.S. Reasor's grocery stores are under the Brookshire umbrella. The study included survey responses from more than 89,000 women representing more than one million companies nationwide. Companies were evaluated on a range of factors, including representation of women in leadership, pay equity, advancement opportunities, workplace culture and programs that support women's professional development. "This honor demonstrates our continued dedication to fostering a workplace where every employee-partner feels included, respected, and empowered to advance," said Rosemary Jones, executive vice president, chief people and legal officer for BGC. Two FRESH by Reasor's locations coming soon to Oklahoma City metro. Read the story below to see where the two stores will be located. Two Uptown Grocery locations in the Oklahoma City metro will soon become FRESH by Reasor's stores. Brookshire Grocery Co. and Uptown Grocery Co. announced Monday that they entered into an agreement under which Brookshire Grocery Co. will acquire Uptown Grocery locations in The Village and Edmond. The two spots will become FRESH by Reasor's stores following a short closing at each location, according to a news release. The stores will undergo a short closing starting at 7 p.m. on Oct. 22, and the goal is to reopen as a FRESH by Reasor's the following week. Once reopened, the stores will undergo a remodeling process with new features and expanded food selections. "We are thrilled to have this opportunity to introduce our FRESH store with our exceptional service to The Village and Edmond communities," Brad Brookshire, chairman and CEO for Brookshire Grocery Co, said in the news release. "At FRESH, we offer far more than a typical grocery experience. From our award-winning dry-aged beef program to restaurant-quality, chef-prepared meals, every detail reflects our commitment to excellence. Alongside everyday essentials, we're expanding our product offerings which will include adding in beer and wine to further enhance the shopping experience. These new stores represent a bold step in our company's growth journey and stand as a testament to our mission: to create and deliver exceptional experiences and lasting value for our customers, guided by our core values." FRESH by Reasor's features chef-prepared entrees, authentic Japanese ramen and Vietnamese pho counters, a taco bar, brick-oven Neapolitan-style pizza, an artisan bakery, dry-aged beef, a full-service meat and seafood counter, charcuterie and cheese selections, fresh produce with various organics, and a full-service floral shop. The stores also will have a coffee bar, hand-crafted gelato, patio dining, an outdoor cafe, live music, and on-site parks with children's playgrounds. Brookshire Grocery Co. plans to hire more than 40 new employees for each store. Hiring centers - located at 9515 N. May Ave. in Oklahoma City for The Village store and 2740 Featherstone Road in Oklahoma City for the Edmond store - for the new grocery stores will be open from 1 to 6 p.m. on Oct. 13 and will continue 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 14-17. Reasor's currently has almost 20 locations in Oklahoma, and these two new spots will be the first in the Oklahoma City metro.
