Requirements
  • Consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five years.
  • Ability to use a computer to communicate via email.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and related tools and technology required for the position.
  • A bachelor's degree or eight years of nuclear experience.
  • Practical experience in work control, materials management, electrical and instrumentation or mechanical maintenance, or related areas.
  • Experience developing lockouts in nuclear or waste solidification facilities.
  • Practical knowledge of waste solidification facilities and operations.
  • Experience developing, reviewing, and issuing lockouts.
  • Knowledge of Department of Energy, Savannah River Remediation, and Savannah River Site operating policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Experience with Asset Suite, EDWS, and Microsoft Word.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Eligibility for Facility Access Authorization, also referred to as Employment Authorization, by the U.S. Government's designated Security Office.
  • Ability to submit to and qualify for varying levels of background investigative requirements, up to a Top Secret or Department of Energy Q clearance.
  • Willingness to work a 40-hour work week on available schedules including 5/8s, 4/10s, or 9/80s.
  • Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or training.
  • Ability to perform duties competently and professionally while meeting milestones and delivery schedules.
Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation, review, and issuance of large or complex lockouts and system modification, corrective maintenance, and preventive maintenance work packages.
  • Provide technical review of maintenance and construction lockouts.
  • Analyze the time and requirements for lockouts.
  • Prepare, review, and issue lockouts to ensure equipment is isolated to protect the environment, equipment, and personnel.
  • Prepare and review specific instructions for the isolation, containment, and de-energization of mechanical, physical, electrical, and chemical energy systems or radiological sources according to established procedures.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships and interfaces with internal and external customers.
  • Ensure assigned duties are performed in accordance with established criteria and contract requirements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Puridiom is beneficial.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
