Requirements
  • An associate degree and high school diploma are required.
  • At least five years of logistics, warehousing, and distribution supervisory experience are required.
  • At least three years of experience using a Warehouse Management System or equivalent within the past five years are required.
  • Possess the basic knowledge and skills required to plan, control, manage, and be responsible for successful work completion.
  • Obtain and maintain a valid operating permit for the specific type of material-handling equipment with 4K and 6K capacity.
  • Knowledge of established warehousing and material-handling methods and techniques is required.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, are required.
  • Ability to understand, speak, read, and write English is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels, government representatives, and outside contacts is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment, with the ability to work alone or as part of a team, are required.
  • A valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record is required.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain a Common Access Card through a favorable Personnel Security Investigation and subsequent National Agency Check with Inquiries is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for prolonged periods, and twist, bend, and squat periodically is required.
  • Ability to work in office and industrial settings with potential exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, mist, and fumes is required.
  • Personal protective equipment, including a mask, safety glasses, protective-toe footwear, gloves, and hearing protection, must be worn.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project/Warehouse Manager in providing warehousing functions, including receipt off-load and tally, stow, storage and warehousing, issue, and transport of stock materials.
  • Remain on-site to perform the role.
  • Receive tasks from the Project/Warehouse Manager.
  • Provide leadership and direction to warehouse staff, including planning and managing the project professionally.
  • Allocate resources, manage personnel, and monitor operational performance under government direction.
  • Schedule work properly to maximize resource utilization.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reports are provided.
  • Prevent inefficient or wasteful methods in the performance of ordered labor-hour services.
  • Apply cost-saving factors and quality controls to ensure work is performed as scheduled and at a fair and reasonable cost.
  • Spot-check completed work for compliance with contract work sequences, procedures, methods, and deadlines.
  • In the absence of the Project Manager, attend workload planning meetings, assign personnel according to the workload plan, and confirm projected workload completion.
  • Ensure an adequate number of personnel are assigned to each functional area to accomplish the daily workload.
  • Review personnel training and performance requirements to ensure training matches duties performed within the Performance Work Statement.
  • Ensure personnel licenses, certifications, and qualifications remain current and documented.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a high level of safety awareness.
  • Account for assigned company-owned property, government-furnished property, and government-furnished equipment.
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with published instructions and federal, state, and local Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations.
  • Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, coaching, and disciplinary action.
  • Ensure communication flows between upper management and employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
