About the Job

Requirements

  • A minimum IHK Sachkundeprüfung in accordance with §34a GewO is required.
  • Professional experience as a detective or shopguard is desirable.
  • Very good German language skills in speaking and writing at approximately B2-C1 level are required.
  • Good English language skills are desirable.
  • Customer orientation and a well-groomed appearance are required.
  • The candidate must demonstrate loyalty, independence, and an accountable working style.
  • Physical fitness and willingness to work shifts are required.
  • The candidate must have lived in Germany for at least five years.
  • The candidate must have no criminal convictions or relevant entries in their certificate of good conduct.
  • Applicants must provide a current résumé and their IHK qualification certificate for the security trade.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact for customers, visitors, and employees.
  • Conduct access controls and regular inspection and patrol rounds.
  • Detect theft, document incidents, and record reports to the authorities.
  • Enforce the house rules.
  • Cooperate with the police during security-related incidents.
  • Support self-service checkout operations to prevent incorrect use or misuse.
  • Handle notifications and reporting for unusual incidents.

Desired Qualifications

  • Professional experience as a detective or shopguard.
  • Good English language skills.
