Responsibilities
  • Teach 5-6 courses per academic year, depending on lab courses, using in-person, online, and mixed delivery formats.
  • Teach Social Psychology and an upper-level Social Psychology lab course.
  • Teach other courses in the curriculum or new courses aligned with the candidate’s expertise and departmental needs.
  • Advise students and mentor student research.
  • Maintain an active scholarship agenda.
  • Work with department colleagues to continually strengthen and advance the program.
  • Develop inclusive classroom practices that support students from varied backgrounds and interests.
  • Establish and maintain a high-quality, inclusive research program and involve undergraduate students in research.
  • Submit the required application materials and provide contact information for three professional references.
Desired Qualifications
  • Interest in offering Common Good Community-Engaged courses.
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness in Social Psychology-related courses, such as student reports on instruction, peer evaluations, or other teaching assessments.
  • For applicants with less teaching experience, a thoughtful approach to successful teaching in Social Psychology.
  • Interest in teaching courses that enhance current offerings.
  • Potential for research to be competitive for external funding.
