Requirements
  • Satisfactorily complete the Cooper IDX training program covering Registration, Scheduling, E-Commerce, and FSC.
  • Maintain annual eligibility certification.
  • Have reliable transportation and be available to travel to various clinical locations as required by management.
  • Have excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills for interacting with patients, visitors, and health care team members.
  • Have knowledge of patient rights, aseptic and sterile technique, and infection control best practices.
  • Have strong written communication skills, computer literacy, typing skills, and comfort using Microsoft Office software.
  • Have a minimum of 1-2 years of clinical operations experience in a fast-paced physician practice or clinical site within the Cooper University Healthcare System, including rooming and triaging patients.
  • Have experience scheduling, registering, and working with an electronic health record, including front-desk knowledge.
  • Have at least 1 year of experience working with IDX and Epic.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate from a Medical Assistant Clinical Training program.
  • Hold current documentation of national certification as a Registered Medical Assistant, National Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or Clinical Medical Assistant Certification.
  • Hold current Basic Life Support certification.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise clinical staff under the direction of the manager of clinic operations.
  • Prepare evaluations and provide input on staff performance.
  • Administer performance evaluations and bring disciplinary matters to the manager.
  • Provide medical assistant support to providers when staffing needs require it.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality and providing care in accordance with the Patient’s Bill of Rights.
  • Provide on-site training.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model and demonstrate Cooper’s Core Values.
