ThermalWorks operates as a data center cooling technology company, engineering waterless thermal systems for high-density AI computing loads. Its main products include hot aisle containment, skid-mounted multi-function chillers, and modular liquid and air cooling units supporting hybrid or all-liquid setups at high rack densities. It also provides design, deployment, and operations services, using digital twin modeling, a modular supply chain, and real-time monitoring. What sets ThermalWorks apart is its zero-water design paired with waste heat recovery technology that repurposes IT waste heat into usable heat, while keeping power usage effectiveness low. The goal is to help operators meet AI-scale computing demands sustainably, without the water-use tradeoffs of legacy cooling systems.

What believers are saying

  • May 14, 2026 CFO hire Dave Rich strengthens finance for scaling and fundraising.
  • April 2026 Mesa deployment proves commercial execution for AI training and inference workloads.
  • March 17, 2025 heat recovery launch broadens value proposition beyond cooling into energy reuse.

What critics are saying

  • ThermalWorks sued Airsys Cooling in Delaware on April 17, 2026, escalating IP warfare.
  • The company depends on Endeavour and data-center customers; one stalled rollout hurts revenue fast.
  • Waterless cooling wins only if operators trust reliability; a flagship failure damages the brand.

What makes ThermalWorks unique

  • ThermalWorks sells waterless AI cooling with integrated heat recovery on C1000 and C2000 plants.
  • Endeavour-backed platform pairs ThermalWorks with Edged deployments, including Mesa's 36 MW facility in April 2026.
  • June 2026 Danfoss partnership and July 2025 Jabil deal signal ecosystem reach.
