Requirements
  • Completion of four years of high school plus specialized courses and training.
  • One year of related work experience is required.
  • CPR certification is required.
  • Certification as a Certified Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or Paramedic is required.
  • In lieu of certification, candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing or have at least one year of Emergency Department Technician experience.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19, or obtain an approved medical or personal exemption by signing the required statement.
Responsibilities
  • Under general supervision of the Emergency Department Manager or designee, perform a variety of duties in providing direct patient care, including phlebotomy, electrocardiograms, minor invasive procedures, and diagnostic procedures in accordance with physicians' orders.
  • Conduct patient interviews and provide clerical support, including patient quick registration, data and order entry, minor transcription of orders, collation of medical records, and other assigned clerical duties.
