Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Three to five years of experience in production planning, inventory control, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with enterprise resource planning and material requirements planning systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Infor, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, bills of materials, and supply chain principles.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with the Production Scheduler to support schedule adherence, flag inventory-driven constraints, and communicate material availability impacts on production timelines.
  • Monitor raw material, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory levels to ensure adequate supply without excess.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely purchasing of materials based on production requirements and lead times.
  • Analyze inventory data and production metrics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records in the enterprise resource planning and material requirements planning system, including bills of materials, routings, and inventory transactions.
  • Communicate production status, delays, and capacity constraints to relevant stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of inventory.
  • Support new product launches by coordinating material readiness and production ramp-up plans.
  • Assist in developing and enforcing inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Generate and distribute production and inventory reports to management on a regular basis.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization.
Desired Qualifications
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP designation, or progress toward one.
  • Familiarity with demand forecasting and capacity planning.
