Requirements
  • No prior experience is required; candidates without experience undergo an approximate two-week evaluation period.
  • Programming and troubleshooting experience with ABB, FANUC, and/or Kawasaki robots.
  • Ability to establish connections using Remote I/O, Ethernet, and DeviceNet communication protocols.
  • Ability to set up peripheral robot equipment, including I/O blocks, spot welders, MIG welders, and vision cameras.
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints.
  • Understanding of welding fundamentals and theory.
  • Basic troubleshooting and adjustment of welding fixtures.
  • Knowledge of electronics, electrical circuitry, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and mathematics.
  • Basic offline programming using RoboGuide or RobotStudio.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Responsibilities
  • Set up, troubleshoot, debug, and prepare robots according to customer specifications.
  • Create robot programs and interface robots with programmable logic controllers and peripheral equipment from start to finish.
  • Set up and program robots on a shop floor and integrate them into a production facility.
  • Provide automation support after robot integration is completed.
Desired Qualifications
  • A mechatronics certificate or journeyperson card.
  • An associate degree in mechatronics, controls, or maintenance technician.
