About the job
- Minimum of three years of experience in residential property management, including staff supervision, financial management, and budget oversight.
- Proficiency in property management software, including Yardi, Rent Café, and credit screening platforms, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
- Experience training, developing, and mentoring a high-performing team.
- Ability to resolve resident concerns professionally and effectively through written and verbal communication.
- Organizational, multitasking, and time management skills, with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Integrity and professionalism, including confidentiality, fiduciary responsibility, and adherence to federal, state, and local fair housing laws.
- Ability to adapt to change and work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive and motivating attitude.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Equivalent relevant work experience is required; a valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required based on property-specific needs.
- Oversee all property operations, including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits.
- Provide customer service and communication to residents and prospects to foster satisfaction, increase renewals, and enhance revenue, reputation, and profitability.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies through competitive analysis and outreach programs to drive occupancy and revenue.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team that includes leasing, customer service, maintenance, and management personnel, supporting engagement and minimizing turnover.
- Supervise day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and maintain a positive and professional living environment.
- Oversee financial performance by managing budgets, monitoring expenses, and working with leasing staff to achieve occupancy and revenue goals.
- Build and maintain vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and high-quality community services.
- Adapt to company growth and operational changes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support community success.
- A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
