About the company

Milestone Recovery provides a continuum of care in Portland, Maine for adults facing substance use disorders, mental illness, and homelessness, including an emergency shelter for men, a medically supervised detox program, and gender-specific residential treatment (30-day and extended-care options). It also offers housing navigation, recovery housing, and the HOME Team mobile outreach to connect with people in the community. Treatments use evidence-based methods such as CBT and Motivational Interviewing, with care beginning at crisis points and continuing through longer-term housing and recovery support, funded by government sources, Medicaid, private insurance, and self-payment to ensure access. The goal is to help adults in Maine achieve stability and lasting recovery through integrated, accessible services regardless of financial means.
