Job Summary\:
The Extended School Year program is looking to hire an internal Bucks I.U. Counselor for Emotional Support classrooms, K-12, Individual Counseling. School Counselor works with the Teachers, Social Workers and Behavior Analysts to maintain appropriate individualized Educational Plan. This employee will be stationed out of Samuel Everitt School but go to other ESY center-based sites and home-based locations as needed.
Essential Functions\:
Individual Counseling, Group Counseling, Consulting, and Crisis response experience desired.
- Collaborate with other ESY team members when involved in a student crisis.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

- Master’s Degree
- K-6, 7-12 Pennsylvania School Counseling Certifications
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) desired
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\:
- Applicants should have at least one year experience as a School Counselor or as a classroom. Teacher and experience working with Special Education students.
- Applicants must be highly motivated, organized, creative, flexible and able to make decisions in a high stress environment.
- Knowledge of mental health disorders.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable)\: Citizenship or work authorization to work in the United States required.
