Requirements
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Provide service excellence support to patients, their loved ones, health-system professionals, and support staff.
  • Contribute to a peaceful healing environment by enhancing communication and connection with patients, families, and staff.
  • Perform daily patient rounds and collect accurate documentation of confidential and pertinent information in the department's feedback-module database.
  • Act as a liaison and resource for patients and families by telephone or in person, addressing questions and concerns.
  • Recognize, understand, report, and resolve patient concerns with the primary nurse or leader when possible.
  • Escalate complex complaints that cannot be resolved at the bedside or in the moment to the Senior Specialist.
  • Use conflict-resolution skills, judgment, and departmental and organizational resources to address or triage patient concerns and complaints to the appropriate individual or department.
  • Investigate cases and follow up with patients and family members regarding resolutions.
  • Contribute to team goals and strategies and identify process and system improvement opportunities.
  • Use active listening, care, and empathy to assist patients in obtaining resolutions.
  • Apply patient-satisfaction best practices during interactions and when handling sensitive, challenging, threatening, or hostile situations.
  • Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience is preferred.
