Our client is seeking a motivated accountant to join the Team. We are looking for a self-motivated candidate with excellent accounting skills, and the ability to manage complex accounting projects, work independently and prioritize to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will have SEC and Regulatory reporting experience, and demonstrate a high level of initiative.
The Group Controller team supports Wholesale Services, Commercial Banking and Corporate Banking. The accountant will build valuable accounting experience including SEC and Regulatory Reporting for one of the largest loan portfolios in Wholesale Banking. The group works closely with the AFS and LIQ loan systems.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
Duties will include:
•Completing complex reporting requests. Analyzing amounts reported to explain significant variances
•Evaluating proposed reporting changes and integrating the changes into reporting process
•Providing accounting guidance to the loan services team, including accounting for loan fees and costs
•Working with Credit Resolution Group on complex loan modifications
•Reviewing data from the general ledger, unit reports and various financial systems to ensure accuracy and explain variances
•Annual FAS 91 cost studies
•Ad Hoc projects
Basic Qualifications:
6+ years accounting experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
•Demonstrated ability to be flexible, adjusting to changing priorities and works well under pressure
•Experience with financial reporting under regulatory, GAAP and/or SEC guidelines with demonstrated ability to apply such guidelines
Preferred Qualifications:
•CPA certification
