Denmark's Netcompany has been awarded a five-year contract from NHS England, worth more than £215 million, to build the digital infrastructure underpinning adult screening programmes. The agreement covers all seven national adult screening programmes, including breast, cervical, and bowel cancers, which collectively lead to around 15 million invitations to take part each year and saves thousands of lives. In a statement, Netcompany said the services will form a central part of the NHS Digital Prevention Services Programme (DPSP) and be instrumental in the government's ambition to shift the health service from treatment to prevention, as laid out in the current NHS 10-Year Plan. The objective is to deliver "earlier diagnosis and faster treatment," according to the company, which will run and enhance the digital services behind the existing screening pathways while building the next generation. That will include a new national breast screening service and an enhanced cervical screening service that invites people digitally and offers them an HPV self-testing kit at home. The upgraded screening infrastructure is designed to find more disease earlier, shorten the time between an invitation and a result, and make it easier for people to take part, according to Netcompany. It also stressed that the services will be "sovereign and NHS-owned: built in the UK and controlled by the NHS." Additionally, the contract includes a commitment to use an ecosystem of UK partners, with 33% of contract revenues committed to small and medium-sized businesses. There is considerable debate in the UK at the moment about the prominent role being played in the digitalisation of the NHS by controversial US tech firm Palantir, which manages a £330 million, seven-year contract with NHS England to run the Federated Data Platform (FDP). There have been calls by patient, healthcare, worker, trade union, and consumer rights groups, as well as MPs, for that contract to be cancelled when it expires next February. Netcompany already has a track record of working successfully with the NHS, having previously delivered a national online GP registration service, used by millions of patients and adopted by 99% of surgeries in England. Netcompany Group has raised its full-year revenue guidance for 2026 following strong first-half performance. The Danish IT services company now expects group revenue growth of between 16% and 20.5%, up from its previous guidance of 15% to 20%. The upgrade comes after Netcompany achieved revenue growth of 40.9% in the first six months of 2026, with 15.1 percentage points of that growth being organic. The company cited its current backlog and weighted pipeline as supporting factors for the revised outlook. Netcompany maintained its adjusted EBITDA margin guidance at between 16% and 19% for the group. The company is scheduled to publish its full second-quarter interim report on 13 August 2026.

Netcompany strengthens its financial services business with two high-profile appointments. Former Topdanmark CEO Peter Hermann will become a Partner in Netcompany with responsibility for the company's ambitions within life & pension and insurance, while Søren Skov Mogensen, currently Group CEO of TITAN Containers and formerly a senior executive at Banking Circle Group and Danske Bank, will become the new CEO of Netcompany Banking Services. The two appointments will accelerate Netcompany's growth across life & pension, insurance and banking in Denmark, the Nordics and, over time, across Europe. Peter Hermann (53) will join Netcompany as Partner and Head of Life, Pension & Insurance on 1 September 2026. He will take on overall responsibility for Netcompany's solutions for the pensions and insurance sector. His initial focus will be on further strengthening Netcompany's position in Denmark. Over time, he will help introduce the company's digital solutions for the financial sector in additional European markets. Peter Hermann has more than 25 years of experience in life & pension and insurance, most recently as Group CEO of Topdanmark, where he led a major technology transformation and modernisation programme in which the company's legacy insurance systems were replaced by a single new core platform and a new customer solution. Netcompany appoints Mette Kaagaard to accelerate the company's AI ambitions in Europe. Netcompany is appointing Mette Kaagaard as Partner and Commercial Chief AI Officer (CAIO) for the Netcompany Group. Mette Kaagaard will join Netcompany's Group Leadership, where she will be responsible for accelerating the company's AI strategy and business. She will assume the role effective 1 September. Mette Kaagaard, former Managing Director of Microsoft Denmark, will play a central role in strengthening Netcompany's development and scaling of AI solutions in close collaboration with Netcompany's customers.
