Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field; candidates without a bachelor's degree must have at least 10 years of experience, and four years of experience may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
- Proven experience in plumbing surveying, preferably in a construction management or consulting environment.
- Strong knowledge of local plumbing codes, regulations, and design requirements.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Proficiency in plumbing surveying tools and equipment, such as laser levels and measuring devices.
- Attention to detail and the ability to identify and address plumbing installation issues promptly.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant software applications.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of plumbing surveyors conducting on-site inspections and surveys to verify that plumbing installations comply with regulations and design specifications.
- Review plumbing design plans and specifications for accuracy and provide feedback to project managers and design teams.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to establish project timelines and schedules for plumbing surveying activities.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address issues or concerns related to plumbing installations.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, including subcontractors and regulatory agencies, to ensure compliance with plumbing codes and regulations.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation on plumbing survey findings, including non-compliance issues and recommended corrective actions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on plumbing design requirements and installation best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in plumbing technology and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices are implemented on projects.
