About the job
- Valid state licensure or certification, such as LMHC, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or certified School Counselor.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults in a school, clinical, or tele-health setting.
- Understanding of IEPs, 504 plans, and how mental health impacts academic performance.
- Ability to design and deliver lesson plans aligned to student goals and accommodations.
- Virtual instruction skills, including comfort with video conferencing, digital whiteboards, and engaging students online.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Reliable computer, internet, webcam, and quiet workspace.
- Deliver individualized virtual counseling and support, one-to-one and in small groups, tailored to each student's mental health goals, IEP social-emotional objectives, and psychological profile.
- Create structured intervention strategies and wellness plans addressing school-related anxiety, executive dysfunction, depression, behavioral challenges, or social-emotional learning milestones.
- Adapt support in real time based on student crisis levels, engagement, and emotional regulation, providing a safe, empathetic, and confidential virtual space.
- Track student progress and communicate with families, school psychologists, and school district partners to support wraparound care and regulatory compliance.
- Bilingual Spanish and English is a plus.
