  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6 years of demonstrated specialized and/or broad knowledge with Compensation or related discipline (Human Resources, Finance, etc.).
  • Ability to lead projects of significant complexity and risk exposure and to exercise judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with business to understand business needs and develop suitable compensation / incentive programs.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
Responsibilities
  • Build strong partnerships with the leaders within one or more of the most complex Lines of Business (LOB) and/or corporate functions, as well HRBPs, to provide compensation related consulting services to assigned areas.
  • Provide advice and creative solutions for the most complex compensation issues which strategically support assigned areas.
  • Perform analysis of all compensation-related issues within an LOB and/or corporate functional area, such as market pricing/grading of exempt and nonexempt positions, organization design, design and administration of short-term incentives, to ensure consistent and equitable establishment across the enterprise.
  • Evaluate alternative methods of compensation and the design of compensation packages for various functional areas and levels of management.
  • Partner with LOB/corporate function leaders to develop and structure market competitive, equitable and compliant compensation programs.
  • Lead complex projects with oversight of resources, accountability for risk mitigation and responsibility through implementation and communication.
  • Mentor less experienced teammates to build their own technical and consulting expertise.
  • Develop, communicate and interpret compensation policies, procedures and regulations (e.g. Fair Labor Standards Act, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Interagency Guidance on Sound Incentive Compensation Policies) to establish and maintain uniform understanding and application within each Line of Business.
Desired Qualifications
  • 8 years of experience as a compensation professional in a complex organization
  • Experience working in the financial services industry and specific experience supporting Wholesale Banking (including Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Credit Delivery, Wealth Management, or Enterprise Payments)
  • Professional certification in HR related discipline (PHR, SPHR, CCP, etc.)
  • Experience working with HRIS systems and Market Data tools
