  • Write optimized, production-grade Python code and build robust API endpoints for AI service integration.
  • Design and maintain telemetry to monitor model drift, agent hallucination rates, and overall system performance.
  • Lead end-to-end technical execution of complex AI projects, from ideation and prototyping through production deployment.
  • Mentor Engineer I and Engineer II team members, conduct code and model reviews, and foster continuous learning.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions.
Desired Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience building AI engines for Base Management, Marketing Tech, or Customer Value Management.

Verizon Communications

View

Verizon runs one of the largest wireless and fiber networks in the United States, selling mobile and home internet service to consumers, businesses and government agencies. Its consumer arm sells phone plans along with Fios and Frontier fiber internet and 5G home internet, which beams broadband to homes over its cellular network. Verizon Business sells mobile, networking and security services to companies of every size, including nearly all of the Fortune 500. Most revenue comes from monthly service plans, with more from device sales and installment payments. Verizon was incorporated in 1983 as Bell Atlantic, took the Verizon name in 2000, and is headquartered in New York City.

What believers are saying

  • Phone growth is back: Verizon added 184,000 postpaid phones from April to June 2026.
  • Home internet is growing: it added 193,000 5G home and 155,000 fiber customers in the quarter ended June 2026.
  • School gets subsidized: Verizon's careers site lists $5,250 a year in tuition assistance for employees.

What critics are saying

  • More cuts are planned: in January 2026 leadership targeted $5 billion in 2026 savings, largely from job cuts.
  • Debt grew with Frontier: Verizon paid $9.8 billion cash and took on $12.9 billion of debt in January 2026.
  • Core revenue grows slowly: mobility and broadband service revenue rose 2.8% in the second quarter of 2026.

What makes Verizon Communications unique

  • Fiber reach doubled: buying Frontier in January 2026 gave Verizon about 30 million fiber passings in 31 states.
  • Big business runs on it: Verizon says it serves nearly all of the Fortune 500.
  • Satellites will fill its dead zones: in May 2026 it agreed to pool spectrum with AT&T and T-Mobile.

Retirees swap Social Security for 5 dividend stocks yielding up to 6.64%

Retirees looking for income beyond Social Security are turning to dividend stocks. The 2027 cost-of-living adjustment is tracking toward 3.3%, and five companies from different industries were screened for dividend safety first, then yield. Verizon yields 6.64% and Altria 6.17%. Verizon's free cash flow guidance of $21.94 billion to $22.14 billion covers its roughly $11.76 billion annual dividend. Altria's payout is about 79% of the low end of its 2026 earnings guidance. Realty Income pays monthly at a 5.99% yield and has raised its dividend 115 consecutive quarters. Enbridge yields 5.95%. AbbVie yields 2.48%, but its quarterly dividend has grown from $0.40 in 2013 to $1.73 in 2026. Risks include satellite competition for Verizon, falling cigarette volumes for Altria, and currency swings for Enbridge.

Verizon stock: key dates to watch as shares fall 6.8% ahead of October 26 Q3 report

Verizon shares have lost 6.8%, dividends included, since September 18, 2026, while the S&P 500 gained 0.6%. Investors now wait to see if the company delivers on its July promise of a stronger second half. The next test is the third-quarter report, expected on or around October 26. Management guided service revenue growth of close to 3% from a year earlier. Service revenue was $23.4 billion in the second quarter. Verizon also expects to announce more AI infrastructure deals by the end of 2026, worth multiple billions of dollars in revenue over several years. They would follow a Google deal worth over $1 billion. The fourth-quarter report, expected on or around January 28, 2027, will include the first outlook for 2027. Verizon's debt stands at $188 billion, and it aims to cut leverage during 2027.

Analyst says Verizon has "no differentiation" as SpaceX's $8B spectrum deal hits carriers

SpaceX agreed on October 8 to buy Grain Management's nationwide 800 MHz spectrum for Starlink Mobile, in a deal The Wall Street Journal valued at around $8 billion. Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile US each fell more than 10% the next day. LightShed Partners analyst Walter Piecyk says Verizon is most exposed. "What is Verizon's differentiation in the market right now? They have none," he said, arguing T-Mobile now has the best network. Verizon's revenue rose from $134 billion in fiscal 2021 to $138 billion in fiscal 2025, while total debt reached $185 billion. The deal needs Federal Communications Commission approval. SpaceX expects upgraded Starlink Mobile service by the end of 2027, and Verizon reports third-quarter results on October 26.

Verizon over PepsiCo: why a 6.2% yield with cash to spare wins for 20 years

Verizon beats PepsiCo as the dividend stock to hold for 20 years, according to an analysis by TIKR, because its payout has more cash behind it. Verizon yields 6.2% and paid 54% of its free cash flow as dividends in the twelve months to June 30, 2026. It expects free cash flow to grow 9% to 10% this year. Its main risk is debt, at 3.35x EBITDA. PepsiCo yields 4.7% and raised its dividend 6.9% a year from fiscal 2020 to fiscal 2025. Those dividends took roughly all of its free cash flow in fiscal 2024 and 2025. On October 8, it cut its fiscal 2026 core EPS growth outlook to 2.5% to 3.5%. At their five-year growth rates, $10,000 in PepsiCo would pay about $19,123 over 20 years, against about $14,974 for Verizon.

Verizon will charge $10 a month for iPhone Handoff.

Verizon will charge $10 a month for iPhone Handoff. Friday October 16, 2026 4:37 pm PDT by Juli Clover Verizon plans to charge customers $10 per month for the iPhone Handoff feature that Apple added in iOS 27. iPhone Handoff allows one phone number to be shared across two separate iPhones. Pricing was included in Verizon's iPhone Duo announcement today, with the carrier confirming iPhone Handoff will work with the iPhone Duo and the iPhone 18 Pro models. Verizon will support iPhone Handoff, giving customers the flexibility to use a single Verizon phone number seamlessly across two compatible iPhone models. Whether using the pocketable iPhone Duo on the go or iPhone 18 Pro for work, customers can switch active status between devices at any time while keeping full access to Verizon's 5G network. iPhone Handoff will be available from Verizon for $10/month on compatible iPhones models running iOS 27. With iPhone Handoff, users can switch between a main iPhone and a companion iPhone at will, though a phone number can only be active on one iPhone at a time. Verizon says support is "coming soon," and Apple previously said Verizon would adopt the feature before the end of the year. U.S. carrier T-Mobile already supports iPhone Handoff, but charges just $5 per month for the feature. AT&T, the third major U.S. carrier, recently suggested it has no imminent plans to support iPhone Handoff. U.K. carrier EE also said this week that it will soon support iPhone Handoff. Customers who have EE's Full Works Plus plan will get iPhone Handoff free, while other EE users can get it for £5 per month. Deutsche Telekom in Germany is the only other carrier that's added iPhone Handoff support so far. It costs €6.95 per month, but the carrier includes it for free in the MagentaMobil L and XL plans.
