Responsibilities
Oversee all legal issues, including attending court hearings and meetings, handling real property issues, drafting documents, and addressing Roger’s Reviews and Rudow matters.
Coordinate legal and clinical issues regarding placement, end-of-life decisions, medical decisions, and appointments as Guardian.
Coordinate legal and financial issues regarding life insurance policies, banking, property management, and appointments as Conservator or Trustee.
Draft correspondence, pleadings, and other documentation in connection with case work.
Supervise administrative staff in the legal component of the program.
Share responsibility for rotation of a 24-hour pager to ensure provision of program services, with coverage seven days per week, 365 days per year.

Family Service Association is seeking a full time (35 hour weekly) Program Attorney to join the agency’s Guardianship program.
This position has a hybrid work schedule. The annualized starting salary range is 60-62K with standard hours of 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday, though coverage hours may vary based on program needs.
The FSA Guardianship program provides corporate guardianship/conservatorship services to elders and individuals with disabilities across Eastern, Massachusetts.
In this role, the Program Attorney serves in leadership capacity providing oversight of the legal component of the program, including direct responsibility for review of cases and handling of legal matters concerning clients of the Guardianship Program. Education and Experience:
