Requirements
  • Retail or guest service experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and insurability to drive are required.
  • Able to maintain working knowledge of parts inventory.
  • Able to complete the Service Advisor New Team Member Training within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Able to use the computer system efficiently.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform math skills.
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to change when required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including possible weekends and evenings.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a phone.
  • Must be able to communicate in English, if applicable.
  • Must be able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
  • Must be able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and perform the listed physical activities, including frequently standing, walking, using hands and fingers, handling or feeling, reaching, talking, and hearing, and occasionally sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Responsibilities
  • Greet customers promptly and provide friendly, competent customer service.
  • Coordinate the service center’s scheduling and workflow.
  • Write service orders for the location, including creating estimates and work orders, finalizing payments, following cash-handling policies, and ordering parts and collecting payment for all jobs.
  • Answer customer questions about service outcomes and consult with technicians as needed.
  • Understand marketing and sales strategies to finalize transactions.
  • Consult with technicians about needed repairs and communicate those needs to customers.
  • Increase knowledge of products and services to understand industry needs.
  • Understand customer needs and communicate them to technicians, and vice versa.
  • Keep customer-facing items clean, stocked, and up to date.
  • Receive merchandise, stock it, and update pricing for showroom products.
  • Maintain a complete understanding of the Boss Shop Warranty process.
  • Assign work to technicians within company guidelines.
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for employees and customers.
  • Report to work on time when scheduled.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
