Description

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is currently seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer for our Newark, DE office. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will contribute to field and office work that supports investigations, analysis, and reporting for geotechnical and construction-related projects. This role offers the opportunity to apply sound engineering judgment, build technical depth across core geotechnical disciplines, and grow into broader design and project responsibilities over time.

Responsibilities

Perform earthwork, foundation, and construction materials observation and testing.
Support subsurface investigations, including borings and test pits, and review exploration logs, laboratory results, and plans.
Complete calculations related to bearing capacity, settlement, earth pressures, pavement section design, and slope stability.
Prepare geotechnical reports.
Contribute to retaining wall design, slope stability analysis, pavement design, review of subsurface conditions and foundation design, and project management as the role develops.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in geotechnical engineering or civil engineering
3+ years of geotechnical engineering experience
Experience with materials testing and field observations
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Eligible to work in the United States
Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam, preferable
PE preferred
CADD experience preferred
