The Role
We are now looking for a world-class communications professional to drive the next phase of our narrative growth at our Brisbane, CA HQ. Whether it is developing a policy communications strategy, building thought-leadership campaigns to share our perspective on the importance of permanence in carbon removal, or pitching our latest breakthrough to a range of media outlets – each day will be fast-paced, dynamic and meaningful. You will also assist our Head of Public Policy on a range of high-impact policy initiatives to integrate legislative affairs, community engagement, and environmental justice strategies to build trust with communities and advance principles of responsible carbon removal deployments.
About You
Whether you’ve spent years in cleantech, or are excited to pivot your career towards climate - you have superb verbal and written communications skills and are an expert at distilling complex ideas into simple, inspiring pieces. You are intellectually curious – you dive deep into problems and come out with a clear and compelling perspective. You are a relationship builder - with a finger on the pulse of what’s next in the media, 3rd party influencer landscape, and policy landscape. You have experience working in, or closely partnering with, policy or regulatory affairs teams, and bonus points if you’ve worked for a politician or campaign. You are scrappy, self-starting and enjoy flexing between high-level strategy and execution. You are self-driven, hungry to grow your career, and excited to own projects from soup-to-nuts.
