About the job
- Previous experience in marine operations or as a boat crew member is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of marine safety protocols and equipment is an advantage.
- Strong swimming skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when required.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform tasks in a demanding environment.
- Fluency in English.
- Ensure the vessel is adequately stocked with diesel, engine oil, and gear oil before each trip.
- Perform routine checks on the vessel's equipment and systems to ensure they are in working order.
- Promptly report technical or mechanical issues to the Boat Captain.
- Assist in preparing the vessel for departures, including loading equipment and supplies as needed.
- Ensure the safety and protection of all passengers on board by adhering to safety protocols.
- Communicate politely with guests and team members, offering assistance and guidance as required.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor to ensure a positive experience for passengers.
- Assist the Boat Captain in the safe and efficient embarkation and disembarkation of guests and team members.
- Handle luggage or equipment with care during transfers.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the vessel, keeping it tidy and presentable.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, washing, and removing debris from the deck and seating areas.
- Take the initiative in completing assigned tasks and assisting with additional duties to ensure smooth vessel operations.
- Support the Boat Captain and other crew members in handling unexpected situations or emergencies.
- First Aid or CPR certification is a plus.
