Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; relevant experience may offset the educational requirement.
  • Previous commercial or multi-unit residential property maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Current license or certification and/or specialized skills in at least one trade, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, or fire protection.
  • A general understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, and workplace safety requirements is required.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting up to 55 pounds and working indoors and outdoors.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, train, and provide direction to the maintenance team.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, work orders, and apartment turnovers.
  • Inspect buildings, grounds, equipment, and common areas.
  • Troubleshoot and perform repairs involving building systems and trades.
  • Maintain the maintenance shop, tools, supplies, equipment, and inventory.
  • Coordinate contractors and assist with property inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and promptly address unsafe conditions.
  • Partner closely with the Community Manager to keep the property operating efficiently.
  • Participate in on-call and after-hours emergency coverage as required.
