The Grove signs 10 year partnership with Toro and Reesink.

The Grove signs 10 year partnership with Toro and Reesink. The Grove has secured a long-term partnership with Toro and Reesink UK, continuing a 22-year relationship and ushering in a new era of integrated turf management. As part of a significant new 10-year agreement, which strengthens a relationship that has existed since the Hertfordshire resort opened more than two decades ago, The Grove has invested in a full machinery fleet renewal and update alongside the installation of a new irrigation system across the entire course. The Grove's leadership team put the deal out in a competitive tender process involving multiple manufacturers and selected Toro as its strategic partner for another decade. "We've been a loyal Toro customer since the beginning," says Will Evans, Agronomy and Facilities Director at The Grove. "And when Turf Matters reviewed the complete solutions package, it quickly became clear it was again the right fit for Turf Matters, especially with the irrigation system involved, new technologies emerging and the way the machinery and irrigation systems could work seamlessly together. "Partnering with Reesink meant we could manage everything through one provider making the decision even more straightforward." While the deal includes a full machinery fleet update, there is also a heavy investment in a suite of the brand's new digital technologies; all designed to transform turf management through real-time data and precision control. Fleet management and GPS spraying technology, moisture-responsive irrigation and autonomous mowing will work all together to enhance overall efficiency, sustainability, and course conditioning. It is, says Jon Cole, Divisional Business Manager, Reesink Turfcare, an agreement that positions The Grove and Toro at the forefront of innovation in UK golf course management: "By integrating Toro's most advanced software solutions into operations, The Grove is positioning itself as a leader in modern, high-performance turf management," he says. The agreement reinforces The Grove's position as a designated Toro showcase venue, where customers and industry partners can experience the latest innovations in turf machinery, irrigation, and autonomous mowing in a live working environment. Will explains: "We've had a close working relationship with Toro and have supported its presence in the UK market for many years. It's exciting to see emerging technologies and new products demonstrated on our course and play a role in introducing them to UK customers." The transition to a full wall-to-wall irrigation system installation is scheduled and The Grove has already trialled Toro irrigation on reconstructed areas of the course, reporting strong early results. Reesink UK and dealer Oliver Landpower will be supporting the deal with technical assistance, weekly on-site visits, and ongoing training for The Grove's greenkeeping and mechanical teams. "Our relationship with The Grove dates to 2002, before the venue opened, when we supplied its initial fleet of Toro machinery and there have been many milestones in that time," says Glen Giddings from Oliver Landpower. "In 2006, when The Grove hosted the AMEX Championship one of our Master Technicians was on permanent standby, supporting early-morning machinery preparation, re-grinding and technical requirements to ensure tournament-grade performance. Now, we've transitioned from a supplier partnership into a trusted and collaborative relationship." Get all of the big headlines, pictures, opinions and videos on stories that matter to you. PPS, Ditch Witch and The Toro Company partner to bring new Story Walk to walking trail.

PPS, Ditch Witch and The Toro Company partner to bring new Story Walk to walking trail. Perry Public Schools is excited to announce a new addition to the walking trail at Perry Junior High that combines literacy, outdoor recreation, and community engagement, all thanks to a partnership with Ditch Witch and The Toro Company. In the spring, Ditch Witch Giving Ambassador Michele Custer reached out to the school district about collaborating on a meaningful project during Global Volunteer Month. At the same time, Perry Junior High teacher Shelynn Kelly had been thinking of a way to enhance the school's walking trail while creating something the entire community could enjoy. The result is a brand-new Story Walk, an interactive outdoor reading experience that encourages families, students, and community members to stay active while enjoying a great book together. The Story Walk features a series of display boards placed along a walking trail, allowing visitors to read a story two pages at a time as they walk. The free activity is designed for readers of all ages. "When offered the chance to partner with Ditch Witch and The Toro Company, it was an immediate yes," said Ms. Kelly. "I wanted a project that made 'Earth Day every day' for our whole community. Through our monthly Story Walk, complete with student-researched nature facts, our class is thrilled to give something back to everyone." Custer said the partnership was a perfect fit for Ditch Witch and The Toro Company's commitment to giving back. "We were excited to partner with the school for Global Volunteer Month because this project allows us to directly support students while strengthening our local community." Ms. Kelly's Foundational Learning class will take ownership of the project by changing the featured story throughout the year, giving visitors a new experience with each visit. Students will also incorporate nature facts they have researched, adding an educational component that encourages curiosity about the environment. The first story has already been installed and is ready for the community to enjoy before the new school year begins. The Story Walk begins at the south end of the pond and follows the existing walking trail west before looping back across the bridge, creating an enjoyable path for readers and walkers alike. To follow the path more easily, and keep your place in the story, the pages are numbered. In addition to funding the Story Walk displays, Ditch Witch and TTC also donated two new trash receptacles for the trail, helping keep the area clean and beautiful for everyone who visits. Perry Public Schools extends its sincere gratitude to Ditch Witch and TTC, and everyone who helped bring this creative vision to life. Their generosity has created a lasting resource that promotes literacy, outdoor activity, environmental awareness, and community connection. "We are incredibly excited to offer something that people of all ages can enjoy," said Superintendent Chad Wilson. "This project is a wonderful example of what can happen when local organizations and schools work together to invest in our community." Community members are invited to visit the Story Walk and experience it for themselves. The Perry Junior High walking trail is open to the public outside of school hours. Once school begins in August, the trail will be closed on school days from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to ensure student safety. Published July 27, 2026
