Requirements
  • Proven business development experience finding, approaching, and closing prospects.
  • At least 3 years of territory sales experience, ideally in heavy equipment, construction services, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of how construction companies operate, including timelines, budget pressures, and project demands.
  • A clear track record of exceeding targets.
  • A valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
  • Sell directly to general contractors, subcontractors, project managers, and developers.
  • Proactively develop the territory with the goal of owning the majority market share.
  • Identify active and upcoming projects and build relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Prospect through cold calling and jobsite visits.
  • Understand customer challenges and offer solution-based equipment proposals.
  • Provide follow-up and build lasting client relationships through a consultative approach.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to remove obstacles and close deals.
  • Maintain and update the customer relationship management system to track leads, pipeline, and performance.
