  • Responsible for the design and optimization of integrated photonic components.
  • Simulate photonic components using finite difference, mode solvers and finite element tools.
  • Perform Design of Experiments (DOE) and tape-out and measure test patterns.
  • Analyze test data and match measurements with simulations.
  • Derive predictive compact models that can be used in photonic circuit simulations.
  • Optimize components towards process variation (Design for Manufacturability) by utilizing statistical tools, measurements and Monte Carlo analysis.
