Requirements
  • At least 18 years of experience in retail, point-of-sale, store technology, or retail software.
  • Strong understanding of retail and store operations.
  • Experience with endpoint agents, cloud services, analytics, reporting, or enterprise portals.
  • Functional understanding of architecture, application programming interfaces, integrations, data flows, and system workflows.
  • Experience working with Product, Architecture, Engineering, Cloud, Analytics, and Quality Assurance teams.
  • Strong requirements analysis, documentation, and Agile experience.
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end point-of-sale telemetry data product delivery, transforming real-time device signals into actionable retail intelligence across devices, microservices, the enterprise data lake, and artificial-intelligence-driven insights.
  • Define telemetry collected from point-of-sale devices, including device health, connectivity, transactions, application performance, errors, latency, and lifecycle events.
  • Translate business requirements into clear inputs and partner with engineering teams across architecture, engineering, analytics, and Quality Assurance.
  • Understand retail processes, operational needs, and customer expectations.
  • Develop functional understanding of the endpoint agent, including configuration, lifecycle, monitoring, and cloud communication.
  • Trace information flow across the endpoint agent, cloud, analytics and reporting, and administrator portal.
  • Understand administrator workflows for device monitoring, policies, alerts, and operational activities.
  • Identify gaps, dependencies, ambiguities, and inconsistencies across the solution.
  • Define user stories, workflows, business rules, acceptance criteria, and scenarios.
  • Assess changes for impact on operations, integrations, reporting, security, support, and user experience.
  • Support backlog refinement, design reviews, user acceptance testing, release planning, and readiness.
  • Act as the bridge between product and technical stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with device management, telemetry, monitoring, dashboards, alerts, policies, application programming interfaces, and enterprise support portals.
  • Background as a Retail Business Analyst, Product Owner, Technical Business Analyst, Solution Consultant, or Domain Architect.

Hillhouse invests in Quest Global to accelerate engineering growth

Quest Global, a global outsourced engineering services provider, has secured a minority investment from Hillhouse Investment through a combination of primary capital infusion and share purchases from existing stakeholders. The transaction involves funds managed by Hillhouse Investment Management. The Singapore-based company, which employs over 21,500 people across 93 global delivery centres in 18 countries, will use the capital to advance strategic priorities and enhance its engineering capabilities for major original equipment manufacturers worldwide. AROBS acquires Quest Global Romania in all-stock deal with one-year lock-up

Romanian tech group AROBS is acquiring Quest Global Romania from Craiova in an all-stock transaction, marking the company's first acquisition paid entirely through share issuance. The newly issued shares will be subject to a one-year lock-up period. Quest Global Romania, headquartered in Craiova, employs approximately 110 specialists and provides software development, testing, embedded solutions and IT consulting services across sectors including semiconductors, healthcare and automotive. The company is part of Singapore-based Quest Global, which operates in 18 countries with over 22,000 employees. The acquisition strengthens AROBS's engineering capabilities and international presence. Quest Global Romania's management will continue under Ana-Maria Vasilescu's leadership. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of the year.
