Requirements
  • Experience and proficiency in event-based and log-based monitoring systems, deployment tools, Unix and AWS.
  • Experience supporting and scaling large enterprise applications in a critical "follow-the-sun" environment.
  • Excellent code-debugging/optimisation, analytical problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to clearly and accurately communicate day-to-day operations to ensure detailed hand-off to regional SRE teams.
  • Prior experience in supporting large-scale banking or payment systems, is a plus.
  • Expertise in API design and interface technologies
  • Expertise with container platforms (e.g. Docker, or similar)
  • Expertise in monitoring, debugging and code analysis (e.g. Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana or similar)
  • Fast learner who is generous with their knowledge.
Responsibilities
  • Design, deliver and support the next generation systems powering Payments at Apple.
  • Provide scalability, reliability and maintainability solutions for business and data processing needs.
  • Support the full infrastructure stack; from individual API performance to network traffic management.
  • Build and continuously improve Apple's most critical payment platform services.
