Requirements
  • An Associates Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
  • Two (2) years of related experience required. Home care experience strongly preferred.
  • Must possess and demonstrate highly effective interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with various software, database and electronic records programs preferred.
  • Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant by the Board of Registration in Medicine of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and may be required in Rhode Island, subject to geographic area assignment.
  • CPR certification is required.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
Responsibilities
  • We are seeking a per diem Physical Therapist Assistant to join our home care team, with a primary focus on providing post-operative orthopedic care on Saturdays.
  • Weekday coverage may be requested based on staffing needs and your availability.
  • Under the direction of the Clinical Manager and the Registered Physical Therapist, work with patients to prevent disability, relieve pain, develop, improve or restore motor function and maintain maximum physical, emotional, social and mental performance within the person’s capabilities.
