About the job
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Have a valid driver's license and an excellent driving record.
- Be able to speak, read, and write English.
- Be able to operate a smartphone and use GPS routing.
- Have basic math skills.
- Be able to drive in varied weather and traffic conditions and work in variable weather conditions.
- Have prior experience adhering to company policies and demonstrating core values.
- Pass a post-offer drug screen, background check where permitted by law, and motor vehicle record lookup.
- Have the physical stamina to stand and walk for long periods, push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds, perform repetitive movements, and work in variable temperatures.
- Have the visual perception required for the job, including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Safely operate the company vehicle and obey traffic laws.
- Load meals into the company vehicle at the designated cold storage facility.
- Deliver meals to clients, often taking meals into their homes.
- Call clients when delivery issues arise or when necessary for the region.
- Accurately and consistently record deliveries in the MMHD delivery application.
- Consistently follow food sanitation and food safety procedures.
- Provide customer service to clients.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment safely.
- Immediately report equipment failures and vehicle damage to the supervisor so repairs can be scheduled.
- Assist with vehicle and driver audits.
- Ensure deliveries comply with established protocols.
- Previous delivery driving experience in a customer-facing environment.
- Experience completing high-volume delivery routes in residential areas.
- Customer service experience communicating professionally and courteously with customers in their homes.
- Experience working independently while meeting productivity and on-time delivery expectations.
- Experience in roles requiring frequent driving, time management, and direct customer interaction.
