About the job
- Hold an active, verifiable Family Nurse Practitioner license in the state or states where you practice and in your state of residence if it is not Ohio; the Ohio license must be active and unrestricted.
- Have at least two years of experience; relevant prior experience may be considered for candidates with less than two years as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Have experience prescribing Suboxone and active Drug Enforcement Administration registration.
- Be willing to obtain multi-state licensure; the cost is covered by Affect.
- Have empathy for members facing behavioral health challenges.
- Be comfortable using technology, including electronic health records and mobile applications.
- Have a quiet, private office and reliable internet connection for HIPAA-compliant telehealth visits.
- Conduct initial and follow-up telehealth evaluations.
- Deliver care for substance use disorders.
- Prescribe medications as appropriate and answer member questions.
- Complete documentation in the Healthie electronic health record.
- Collaborate with the care team and attend occasional scheduled team meetings.
- Medicaid enrollment is a plus.
- Addiction experience is ideal.
