Requirements
  • Experience leading product at a high-growth business-to-business software-as-a-service company, ideally in a vertical artificial intelligence, legal technology, or professional-services context.
  • Experience managing Product Managers, including hiring for craft, giving developmental feedback, and maintaining a high performance bar without micromanaging.
  • Ability to think in systems by holding portfolio strategy and product details such as user flows and edge cases simultaneously.
  • Experience shipping products end-to-end and explaining the factors behind successful or unsuccessful launches.
  • Deep curiosity about artificial intelligence, including following model capabilities, understanding what agents can and cannot do, and distinguishing practical leverage from hype.
  • Ability to write a concise product requirements document, present a roadmap to the board, and discuss scope directly with engineers.
  • Ability to operate with urgency and calm while distinguishing urgent issues from noise.
Responsibilities
  • Define and champion a unified product vision across the entire product portfolio, from the core Microsoft Word experience to Associate, playbooks, and future products.
  • Build, manage, and mentor a small team of Product Managers while creating the culture, processes, and product-management craft needed for a strong product team.
  • Own the roadmap end-to-end, including prioritization, sequencing, and trade-offs between near-term customer value and long-term platform investments.
  • Partner with engineering and design to drive execution through clear specifications, feedback loops, unblocked teams, and successful launches.
  • Lead go-to-market coordination for product launches with marketing, sales, and customer success to drive adoption.
  • Synthesize insights from user research, support tickets, sales calls, and data into product decisions as the voice of the customer.
  • Partner with the Chief Executive Officer and leadership team on product strategy and company direction, including investor narratives and fundraising materials.
  • Establish metrics and feedback loops to measure product health, feature adoption, and user outcomes across the portfolio.
  • Support other responsibilities and projects as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • A background in or adjacent to law, legal operations, or enterprise compliance workflows is desirable.
  • Experience building products that live inside third-party surfaces such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or Salesforce is desirable.
  • Familiarity with large language model product patterns, including prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, and evaluation frameworks is desirable.
  • Experience at a company that went through a Series B and navigated rapid scaling, or made strategic acquisitions, is desirable.

Spellbook uses generative AI integrated with Microsoft Word to help legal teams draft, review, and manage contracts. It differentiates itself with in-workflow AI inside Word, a privacy-focused large-scale platform, and agentic AI capabilities. Its goal is to boost legal efficiency and accuracy so lawyers spend more time on strategic advice and client service.

Spellbook launches autonomous AI system to manage contracts end-to-end for 4,500+ legal teams

Spellbook, an AI contract infrastructure platform used by over 4,500 legal teams across 80 countries, has launched Autonomous Contract Management (ACM), which it describes as the first AI system handling contracts end-to-end. The platform manages the entire contract lifecycle from initial receipt through renewal. Spellbook ACM operates across three workflows: intake, which autonomously pulls contracts from email, Slack and Salesforce, triaging and reviewing against standards; review, where negotiations run in organised workspaces with automatic version tracking; and insight, which stores agreements post-signature and flags renewals whilst monitoring for regulatory changes. The launch addresses persistent inefficiencies in contract management, with a recent Spellbook Labs report showing contract issue rates haven't improved in 20 years despite existing CLM tools. The system is rolling out to select teams, with a waitlist available.

The company tripled its revenue in 2025 and expects to reach $100 million in annual recurring revenues by year-end, according to CEO Scott Stevenson. The firm serves over 4,000 customers across 80 countries, including Nestlé, Dropbox and eBay.
