- Experience with Oracle database administration, including Oracle 9i, 10g, and 11g Enterprise Edition.
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control and TOAD (Quest).
- Experience with database backup and recovery using Oracle Recovery Manager, TSM, or Veritas.
- Experience with connectivity technologies including Oracle Internet Directory and Oracle clients using ODBC/JDBC.
- Experience with database health checks, housekeeping, performance analysis, and tuning using Performance Tuning Pack, TKPROF, EXPLAIN PLAN, AWR, and Automatic Database Diagnostic Monitor reports or tools.
- Production support database administration experience is required.
- Experience administering high-availability environments, including Real Application Clusters, Oracle Data Guard, and standby databases.
- Working knowledge of UNIX servers, including Red Hat, Solaris, and AIX, as well as UNIX commands, editors, and shell scripting.
- Experience conducting disaster recovery drills.
- Experience with database migrations, upgrades, and patching.
- Ability to evaluate and recommend database tools based on customer needs.
- Knowledge of incident, request, and change management processes.
- Proactively monitor Oracle database servers.
- Perform database backup and recovery.
- Manage database connectivity.
- Conduct database health checks and housekeeping.
- Perform database performance analysis and tuning.
- Troubleshoot production database issues.
- Administer high-availability database environments.
