Our services include a state-of-the-art psychiatric urgent care center and a soon-to-be-built pediatric behavioral health center, outpatient, inpatient, partial hospitalization (day programs), assessment and testing, residential, addiction treatment and specialty services such as crisis response, employee assistance programs, forensic psychiatry and psychology, and neuromodulation. On-the-job educational programs for nurses, psychologists, advanced practice providers, psychiatrists, and chaplains are equipping the next generation of care providers.

What Will You Do?
As an Assessment & Referral Clinician at Pine Rest, you’ll be part of tight-knit team that believes in the healing power of your expertise and compassion. This role provides triage, assessment, and referral services for patients. Our Assessment & Referral Clinicians are driven to make an impact in the lives of those we serve and are motivated by the healing they witness first-hand each day. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to work collaboratively with other community agencies on behalf of clients and/or the organization.
Professionally and calmly handles crisis calls to determine appropriate next steps in the assessment process.
Conduct face-to-face and telephone consultation with patients in crisis/psychiatric emergency to assess their clinical condition and to recommend the appropriate level of clinical care.
Coordinate admissions and/or intakes, including interfacing with insurance and managed care companies for authorization.
Refer patients to outpatient services, either within or outside the system when necessary.
Ensures that medical record documentation protocols are complied with. Ensures that persons’ assessment information is entered into the medical records on a timely basis and in accordance with established organizational and departmental procedures.
Ability to respond to a range of clients’ needs using differential diagnoses and treatment approaches.
What Does This Role Require?
Education/Experience:
Current, valid license in MI as LLP, LMSW or LLMSW
Obtain and maintain in good standing certification commiserate with treatment provided.
Ability to provide culturally inclusive care with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community setting.
Interpersonal relationship skills necessary in order to relate to a wide variety of internal and external contacts including patients and families, multi-disciplinary treatment team members, other hospital employees, and a variety of individuals in the social sphere of the patient under treatment.
