Stäubli Robotics will host its first North East European Robotics & Automation Summit at its Welcome Center in Bayreuth, Germany, on November 19 and 20, following a restructuring of its sales operations across Northern, Central and Eastern Europe. The company has consolidated its sales activities across the region, with overall responsibility centralized at its Bayreuth operation. At InnoTrans 2026, Stäubli will demonstrate how integrated electrical and fluid connection solutions can help simplify the design and operation of next-generation rolling stock. A system-level approach built for rail realities. Connection technology may not be the most visible part of a train, but every critical onboard function depends on reliable electrical and fluid interfaces. These connections must withstand vibration, thermal cycling, electromagnetic interference and decades of continuous operation - while remaining easy to maintain. For more than forty years, Stäubli has supported the railway industry with connection solutions designed specifically for these demanding environments. If one train stops during commercial operation, you affect traffic across the entire network. The margin for error is essentially zero. Reliable power across the traction chain. The traction chain is one of the areas where a train's electrical architecture is most exposed to stress, with connectors required to perform under continuous vibration and extreme temperature variations. Alexandre Lagrange, Product Manager for Railway at Stäubli, said: The EvoTrak range was designed to address that challenge across multiple rolling stock types and power levels. That range includes EvoTrak MPC and EvoTrak Shield, for high-power applications up to 3,000V, connecting transformers, converters and traction motors on locomotives, electric multiple units and high-speed trains. Meanwhile, EvoTrak lite, developed for urban rail applications, addresses voltages up to 1,500V - designed in direct response to what Alexandre Lagrange considered a need in the range. A newer addition to the traction chain offer is EvoTrak Shield, developed in response to increasingly digitalized rolling stock. Alexandre Lagrange, Product Manager for Railway at Stäubli, said: Every new generation of train has more communication systems on board. Integrated Solutions for battery systems. Battery applications, too, reflect broader shifts across the rail market, particularly on non-electrified lines where alternatives to diesel are gaining importance. But as battery capacity increases, so does the need for effective thermal management. Alexandre Lagrange, Product Manager for Railway at Stäubli, said: When you increase the power in a battery system, you also increase heat generation. And when you increase heat, you need more cooling. A traction battery therefore requires both electrical connections for power transfer and monitoring, and fluid connections to manage cooling circuits. Stäubli's approach is to address these requirements together, combining electrical and fluid expertise within a single connection strategy. The company's portfolio includes CombiTac CT-HE for blind and rackable power and monitoring interfaces inside battery enclosures, EvoTrak lite for the electrical connection between battery and vehicle, and SPT and RME fluid connectors for thermal management. Meanwhile, integrated guidance features support accurate positioning during assembly, while non-spill disconnection and overpressure protection enable repeated maintenance operations throughout the vehicle's service life. Stäubli expands BosCon portfolio with protective caps and panel receptacles for high-power PV systems

Stäubli has expanded its BosCon connector portfolio with permanent protective caps and panel receptacles for utility-scale photovoltaic applications, battery energy storage systems, and EV charging infrastructure. The BosCon panel receptacles support connections to power equipment such as combiner boxes and central inverters. They're rated for up to AC/DC 1,500 V and 620 A, featuring MULTILAM contact technology for low contact resistance. The products include IP68 sealing and are certified according to UL6703 and SCA C22.2 No. 182.5. The permanent protective caps protect unmated connectors and unused panel receptacles from environmental exposure. September 4, 2026 On 21 August 2026, Woosung Metal Company attended OCP Korea Tech Day 2026 at COEX in Seoul. The event brought together the organisations developing and operating the next generation of computing infrastructure. For Woosung, the central takeaway was not a single rack-level product, but a clear direction of travel: as AI computing density increases, thermal management is becoming a core infrastructure decision. That shift reaches beyond servers and racks into the cooling-water and fluid-handling equipment that supports the wider facility. It also changes the questions asked of industrial manufacturers, because capacity, maintainability and inspection must be considered across the complete operating chain rather than within one item of equipment. AI infrastructure, cooling and power in one programme. Event material described a programme of approximately 1,500 participants, around 60 presentations and roughly 30 exhibition booths. Dedicated tracks for AI Factory & Data Center and Cooling & Power placed the physical requirements of AI infrastructure alongside compute, networking and software. This was important context: accelerated computing cannot be separated from the power, heat-rejection and fluid-distribution systems required to operate it reliably. The programme connected rack density with practical subjects such as cooling architecture, flow interfaces, facility design and scalable deployment. That breadth helped show where specialist products meet conventional industrial equipment, and why those boundaries need clear technical ownership. Across the programme, speakers addressed the move from conventional air cooling towards liquid-based architectures. Topics included single-phase and two-phase direct-to-chip cooling, immersion cooling, coolant selection, high-flow quick-disconnect interfaces and the Open Rack v3 environment. Modular data-centre deployment and the practical requirements of high-density rack installation were also prominent. Together, these subjects showed how thermal design is increasingly being considered at the beginning of a project rather than added after the computing platform has been selected. The programme combined multiple technical tracks, including sessions focused on AI infrastructure, data centres, cooling and power. Liquid cooling is moving into the core design conversation. The technical sessions treated liquid cooling as a system of connected decisions. Heat must be collected at the equipment, transferred through controlled fluid circuits and rejected through plant-side infrastructure. Each transition introduces questions of flow, pressure, sealing, materials, maintenance access and inspection. Standardised interfaces can help equipment from different suppliers work together, while careful engineering remains necessary wherever a cooling loop crosses from rack-level assemblies to larger distribution and facility equipment. The CEJN exhibition display presented liquid-cooling connection equipment for data-centre applications. Exhibition displays from CEJN and Stäubli illustrated the continuing development of quick-connect couplings, hoses and connection assemblies for liquid-cooling circuits. These products sit close to the rack and show the precision required at small fluid interfaces: compact geometry, repeatable connection, controlled leakage risk and compatibility with the selected coolant all matter. The event also highlighted manifold and cold-plate technology, although those items are outside Woosung's stated manufacturing scope. Machined connection components displayed at the CEJN booth illustrated the precision interfaces used within liquid-cooling circuits. Stäubli displayed quick-connect couplings and connection assemblies for liquid-cooling applications. The presence of both direct-to-chip and immersion-cooling discussions was equally significant. The two approaches organise heat removal differently, but both depend on a stable supporting system. Pumping, filtration, valves, pressure control, heat exchange and distribution must be considered as part of a complete operating environment. For owners, designers and equipment builders, this creates a need to coordinate the high-precision components inside the computing system with the heavier fluid-handling equipment serving the facility. A broader ecosystem for modular AI data centres. The event also placed cooling within a wider discussion about how data centres are built. The NeoCube display presented a modular AI data-centre concept, while programme material addressed the shift from conventional construction towards assembly-based deployment. Modularisation can shorten installation sequences and create repeatable infrastructure units, but it also makes interface control more important. Mechanical connections, service boundaries and the relationship between packaged equipment and site utilities need to be defined clearly if capacity is to be added in stages. The NeoCube display presented a modular AI data-centre concept, reflecting the wider move towards packaged and scalable infrastructure. This broader ecosystem perspective matters because no single supplier provides every layer. Rack manufacturers, cooling specialists, connector manufacturers, equipment builders, plant contractors and operators each contribute different elements. The photographs in this article record technologies presented at the event; they do not indicate partnerships, meetings or supply relationships between Woosung and the exhibiting companies. Woosung's interest is in understanding how these infrastructure trends may influence demand for larger cast and machined components on the facility and plant side. Where Woosung fits: plant-side flow-control components. Woosung's relevant manufacturing scope begins where cooling and fluid-handling systems require substantial pressure-containing or structural metal components. Depending on the approved drawing and specification, this can include cast and fully machined components such as pump casings, valve bodies, filter housings and filtration components, large flanges, and related cooling-water components. These are not cold plates, rack manifolds or proprietary quick-disconnect products. They are the heavier components that may form part of pumps, valves, filtration equipment and other plant serving the cooling loop. All casting and machining presented as current Woosung production is carried out in South Korea. Projects can be supported through Woosung's manufacturing facilities from technical and manufacturability review through pattern and tooling development, moulding, casting, heat treatment, machining and preparation for delivery. The route is drawing-led: material grade, wall transitions, machining allowances, pressure-containing geometry and interface requirements are reviewed against the intended component and applicable acceptance requirements. Quality planning is particularly important for components used in controlled fluid systems. Depending on the agreed scope, Woosung can support material verification, non-destructive examination, dimensional inspection and documented quality control. The correct inspection plan depends on the component, material, service conditions and customer specification; attendance at OCP Korea Tech Day does not change those fundamentals. It does, however, reinforce why reliable plant-side manufacturing will remain relevant as AI facilities place greater demands on cooling infrastructure.
