Payroll Specialist
About the job
- A completed Bachelor's degree or vocational training in Human Resources, business, psychology, or personnel management.
- Several years of experience in payroll processing and in wage-tax and social-security law.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and improve HR documents and processes.
- Service-oriented working style and ability to prioritize and process incoming requests within deadlines as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and solution-oriented, analytical thinking.
- Very good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
- Very good German skills (at least C1) and English skills (at least B2).
- Advise and support employees and managers on HR-related matters.
- Process payroll for an assigned employee group and ensure compliance with all relevant legal requirements.
- Prepare and review accruals and support payroll-related year-end closing work.
- Analyze and evaluate headcount, full-time equivalent (FTE), and personnel costs, and support preparation of data for forecasts, budget planning, and HR key performance indicators.
- Submit reports and prepare certificates, and communicate with health insurers, offices, and authorities.
- Coordinate, monitor, and maintain data in the time-tracking system.
- Contribute to the development and digitization of payroll and HR processes.
