Requirements
  • Ability to handle the physical demands of the position, including lifting or carrying objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
  • Good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination.
  • Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, humidity, dust, asphalt, inclement weather, fumes, airborne particles, and high-noise environments.
  • Ability to work variable hours based on staffing needs.
Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain safe work zones using the proper equipment.
  • Set up and take down lane closures to ensure the safety of assigned traffic control projects.
  • Redirect traffic for workers or survey crews on state highways and other roadways.
  • Manage traffic flow using stop/slow paddles.
  • Work independently or as part of a traffic control crew.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure safety.
  • Provide service and protection to clients.
