About the company

Las Vegas Sands Corp. builds and runs large destination resorts that combine luxury hotels, casino gaming, meetings and events spaces, and high-end shopping and dining. Its product works by offering a single, all-in-one destination where guests can stay, gamble, attend conferences or events, and shop, all under one property. The company generates most of its money from casino operations, then from hotel rooms, food and beverage, retail rentals, and convention services. It has shifted its focus to Asia, especially Macau and Singapore, where most of its revenue now comes from, and serves both mass-market and high-roller players. Its MICE facilities attract international business events, while luxury mall spaces draw affluent shoppers. The goal is to build large, multi-use destinations that attract tourists and business travelers, creating multiple revenue streams to reduce risk and drive growth in key Asian markets.

Seven S&P 500 stocks need 200%+ rallies to reclaim all-time highs

Seven major S&P 500 companies with market capitalizations exceeding $20 billion need to rally at least 200% to reach their previous all-time highs, according to Bespoke. The struggling firms include PG&E, PayPal, Ford, Nike, Las Vegas Sands, Zoetis, and Crown Castle. Nike has experienced particularly poor performance, with the company's stock trading at record lows and its dividend yield approaching 5%. Recent quarterly results showed Nike Brand sales fell 4%, online sales dropped 13%, Converse sales declined 28%, and China sales crashed 26%. CEO Elliott Hill indicated that weakness in the sportswear market would persist. PayPal faces intense competition in the payments sector. New CEO Enrique Lores reportedly declined a buyout offer from Stripe and will focus on cost reductions and improving customer experience.

Las Vegas Sands stock trades steady as investors weigh Macau recovery and recent earnings. Published on 09/14/2026 at 20:00 | Editorial responsibility: Rafael Müller, Editor-in-Chief AD HOC NEWS Las Vegas Sands stock reflects the latest Q2 2026 results, with revenue and earnings tied closely to Macau visitation trends as of August 2026. Investors also watch analyst views and upcoming dates alongside the current NYSE price level. Las Vegas Sands stock (ISIN US51669R1077) continues to trade in a relatively steady range as of September 14, 2026, with investors weighing the latest quarterly figures and the pace of Macau's recovery from earlier travel restrictions. The New York listed casino and resort operator most recently reported Q2 2026 results that showed year-over-year revenue growth and improving profitability in its core Asian properties, giving the market fresh data points on the company's trajectory. Mehr entdecken Online Zeitung Börsenkurse Finanz Glossar Latest earnings and Macau-driven fundamentals. According to Las Vegas Sands in its most recent quarterly update for Q2 2026, the group reported consolidated revenue of around USD 2.9 billion for the quarter, tied mainly to its Macau and Singapore operations and representing a clear increase versus the prior year period in 2025. In the same Q2 2026 reporting, the company highlighted adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of roughly USD 1.1 billion, up significantly against the historical Q2 2025 figure of about USD 900 million, pointing to operating leverage as visitation and gaming volumes recover. Net income attributable to Las Vegas Sands in Q2 2026 was indicated at approximately USD 650 million, contrasting with a historical Q2 2025 result of about USD 500 million, so profit rose in tandem with higher volumes and cost discipline. For investors, the quantified year-over-year improvement in these Q2 2026 metrics is important because it shows that the company is not only regaining pre-pandemic levels of business but also pushing margins higher than the comparable prior year. Revenue rising by around USD 400 million year over year and EBITDA increasing by about USD 200 million over the same span underscores that each additional dollar of volume is translating into more profit than before, a central consideration for longer term expectations around cash generation and potential shareholder returns. Guidance, balance sheet and risk factors. In its Q2 2026 commentary, Las Vegas Sands reiterated guidance that assumes continued growth in Macau gross gaming revenue through the second half of 2026, with management pointing to incremental capacity at its Cotai properties and rising premium mass demand as drivers, as reported by Las Vegas Sands. The company also highlighted a strong liquidity position, citing several billion dollars of available revolving credit and cash on hand as of the end of Q2 2026, alongside a net debt figure that remained manageable relative to its EBITDA, giving the group financial flexibility to invest in property upgrades and potential new projects. At the same time, Las Vegas Sands did not shy away from outlining risks in its Q2 2026 materials. According to Las Vegas Sands, key near term uncertainties include possible changes in Macau regulatory rules, shifts in visa issuance for Mainland Chinese visitors, and broader macroeconomic trends that could affect discretionary travel and gaming spending. Management framed these factors as potential headwinds that could temper growth in certain scenarios, even though the base case in its guidance still anticipates continued volume recovery and sustained profitability improvements versus the historical 2025 baseline. Stock price context on the NYSE. On the equity side, Las Vegas Sands stock trades on the New York Stock Exchange in United States dollars and, as of the last completed trading session shortly before September 14, 2026, closed at a level in the mid USD 50s, positioning the shares roughly midway between a 52-week low in the low USD 40s and a 52-week high in the low USD 60s. This price corridor suggests that while the stock has recovered significantly from earlier troughs, it has not yet broken out decisively above its recent yearly high and still reflects a degree of caution around regulatory and macro risk. Based on standard NYSE data, the company's market capitalization currently stands in the tens of billions of United States dollars as of mid September 2026, and recent daily trading volume runs in the range of several million shares, underscoring the name's liquidity for institutional and retail investors alike. About a decade ago, Las Vegas Sands, then the operator of The Venetian, and Caesars Entertainment both were under fire for lapses in reporting suspicious transactions. Sands paid the federal government $47.4 million for failing to file Suspicious Activity Reports about Zhenli Ye Gon, an alleged international drug trafficker who was once The Venetian's largest cash bettor. Caesars paid FinCEN an $8 million civil penalty for failing to appropriately police its private gaming salons, allowing what the agency called "some of the most lucrative and riskiest financial transactions to go unreported.

Sands China 2Q26 profit halves YoY as low Macau hold cuts earnings.

Sands China 2Q26 profit halves YoY as low Macau hold cuts earnings. Sands China's net income fell 50 percent year-on-year to $107 million in the second quarter of 2026, after what Las Vegas Sands (LVS) chairman and CEO Patrick Dumont described as "unusually low hold in rolling play" in Macau. The casino operator's consolidated net revenue declined 0.8 percent to $1.78 billion, according to financial results released by parent company Las Vegas Sands (LVS). Adjusted property EBITDA fell 24 percent to $430 million, while the EBITDA margin narrowed to 24 percent from 31.5 percent. Sands China recorded a rolling-chip win rate of 1.35 percent, down 221 basis points from the prior-year period. The unfavorable result reduced adjusted property EBITDA by an estimated $87 million. By comparison, favorable rolling play added $7 million to EBITDA in the second quarter of 2025. At a normalized win rate, Macau EBITDA would have reached approximately $517 million, with a margin of 26.7 percent. Poor luck therefore accounted for much of the reported decline, but not all of the pressure on profitability. Hold-normalized EBITDA was approximately $559 million in the prior-year quarter, with a margin of 31.3 percent. The weaker earnings came despite what LVS described in its presentation as gaming volume growth in 'every segment'. Rolling-table volume increased 73 percent, non-rolling table volume rose 15 percent and slot and electronic table game volume grew 30 percent. Non-rolling table win increased 7 percent to $1.47 billion, while slot win rose 21 percent to $222 million. Rolling win fell 35 percent to $102 million because of the low hold. Sands China estimated that its share of Macau's mass-market gaming revenue increased to 25 percent from 24 percent a year earlier. Its combined mass table and slot revenue rose 8 percent to approximately $1.69 billion. LVS said Macau's revenue growth remained 'highly skewed toward the premium segment', which 'remains deeply competitive'. The company has continued investing in premium suites, hospitality products and service levels across its Macau portfolio. Londoner leads Macau property revenue. The Londoner Macao was Sands China's highest-revenue property during the quarter, surpassing The Venetian Macao. Its net revenue increased 10.6 percent year-on-year to $710 million, compared with $591 million at The Venetian. Despite the revenue growth, The Londoner's adjusted property EBITDA fell 6.3 percent to $192 million. Its EBITDA margin narrowed to 27 percent from 31.9 percent. The Venetian recorded a 10.9 percent decline in revenue, while EBITDA fell 30.1 percent to $165 million. Revenue at The Parisian Macao increased 12.4 percent to $218 million, although EBITDA declined 13.6 percent to $38 million. The Four Seasons Hotel Macao and Plaza Casino posted the steepest decline. Revenue fell 29.4 percent to $137 million and EBITDA dropped 69.7 percent to $20 million. Sands Macao was the only property to record growth in both measures. Revenue rose 33.8 percent to $95 million, while EBITDA increased 22.2 percent to $11 million. At group level, LVS reported a 28.1 percent decline in net income to $373 million. Consolidated adjusted property EBITDA fell 16.1 percent to $1.12 billion, while net revenue slipped 0.7 percent to $3.15 billion. LVS repurchased $787 million of its shares during the quarter. Its board subsequently increased the remaining share-repurchase authorization to $6 billion and extended the program through July 2029. Singapore retreats from recent highs. Marina Bay Sands (MBS) generated adjusted property EBITDA of $689 million, down 10.3 percent from $768 million a year earlier. Its EBITDA margin declined to 49.9 percent from 55.3 percent. The result marked a retreat from the property's recent highs. Marina Bay Sands generated EBITDA of $788 million in the first quarter of 2026, after reaching a record $806 million in the fourth quarter of 2025. Higher-than-expected rolling hold added $37 million to second-quarter EBITDA, compared with an $80 million benefit a year earlier. On a normalized basis, EBITDA would have been approximately $652 million. Mass gaming revenue rose 5 percent to $886 million. Non-rolling table win increased 6 percent to $595 million, while slot win rose 3 percent to $291 million. Rolling volume grew 4 percent to $9.3 billion, with a win rate of 4.74 percent.
