Technical Director / Platform Manager: Digital Twin
About the job
- Hold a university degree in computer science, software engineering, engineering, or a relevant field.
- Have a minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in information technology.
- Have significant experience in systems architecture or complex platforms.
- Demonstrate strong technical leadership and the ability to influence.
- Be proficient in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Have a strong understanding of distributed and service-oriented architectures, including APIs and microservices.
- Be able to explain technical concepts to different audiences.
- Demonstrate rigor, autonomy, and strategic thinking.
- Be proficient in French; English is an asset.
- Define and lead the technology vision for digital twin platforms.
- Oversee the overall architecture, including IoT, data ingestion, storage, APIs, and visualization.
- Guide technology choices and ensure their coherence.
- Ensure system performance, security, and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with architects, developers, and specialists in data, IoT, and 3D.
- Establish standards, best practices, and architecture frameworks.
- Participate in defining technology roadmaps.
- Validate technical solutions proposed in projects.
- Support teams in resolving complex problems.
- Maintain ongoing awareness of technology developments in cloud, IoT, data platforms, and 3D.
- Contribute to technical proposals and responses to requests for proposals.
- Experience with IoT, including sensors, MQTT protocols, and real-time ingestion.
- Knowledge of data platforms, including data lakes and spatiotemporal databases.
- Experience with 3D, GIS, or BIM solutions.
- Knowledge of digital twin architectures.
- Experience with DevOps, including CI/CD, containerization, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and data governance issues.
- English language proficiency.
