Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited high school or GED program.
  • Two years of related work experience, or 30 hours from an accredited college or university in a related field, or a combination of the two.
  • Skill in using standard software applications.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to process work and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments, and the general public.
  • Ability to research and reconcile errors independently.
  • Ability to perform 10-key data entry by touch is preferred.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods and lift files, boxes, and other materials up to 25 pounds unassisted.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze, record, and reconcile or balance transactions for several accounts or projects.
  • Review, verify, and maintain records related to receipts and payments, escrow funds and accounts, budget and expenditure tracking data, and payroll deductions.
  • Act as a team leader, coordinate the workload of an assigned section, train clerks, and provide backup to staff and supervisors.
  • Proofread entries and correct errors.
  • Process, coordinate, and ensure payments and other transactions are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Research records to collect data and complete and assemble various reports.
  • Respond to complex telephone and written inquiries and communicate with departments, attorneys, clients, and outside entities regarding policies and procedures.
