Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD Degree program at an accredited university
  • Proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS, PhD)
  • Knowledge of automotive industry
  • Proficiency with Autodesk, AutoCAD Plant layout, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access), Smartsheets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain material flow processes and storage systems
  • Interface with Manufacturing Engineering, Packaging, Logistics Operations, EH&S during launch to develop Material Flow processes and systems
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects
  • Document the system integration process, including detailed steps and procedures
  • Assist senior engineers in analyzing test results and identifying areas for improvement
  • Assist with troubleshooting system issues and identifying solutions
  • Communicate regularly with senior engineers and other team members to provide progress updates and receive feedback
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to team projects as needed
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all testing and integration activities
Desired Qualifications
  • Field(s) of study: Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Industrial engineering, experience developing time study
  • Timing: May-August, or June-September pending class schedules
  • Duration of Internship: 12 weeks
  • Location: Casa Grande, AZ
  • Fully in-person work environment
  • Hourly range for internships specific to the location is $24/hr-$68/hr
