What believers are saying

  • European Commission approval in September 2025 cleared Tata AutoComp’s Slovakia acquisition.
  • Tata’s 2025 Europe expansion strengthens supplier capacity around JLR and Volkswagen.
  • IAC’s remaining OEM relationships still support cash flow while European restructuring progresses.

What critics are saying

  • Inteva completed parts of IAC Europe on December 1, 2025, shrinking IAC’s footprint.
  • Unite balloted nearly 250 Solihull workers in September 2023; the dispute remains unresolved.
  • Plattling closes June 30, 2026, showing customer losses and cost pressure can erase sites.

What makes International Automotive Components unique

  • IAC still owns premium interiors know-how across JLR, BMW, and Volkswagen programs.
  • Its Solihull and Slovakia operations bundle design, engineering, painting, assembly, and trims.
  • Tata AutoComp’s 2025 acquisitions validate IAC’s manufacturing assets and OEM relationships.
